If my CDL with a Hazmat Endorsement expires and I go to the Motor Vehicle office to renew my CDL license,take my Hazmat Skills Test, but my Hazmat Endorsement Federal Security Threat Assessment hasn’t come back yet, can I still operate a CMV?

Yes, you just can’t haul Hazmat. You must return to the Motor Vehicle office once the HEFSTA comes in to get the Hazmat Endorsement added back on.
